Shabtai Sorga

Garden Maintenance Manager

Shab has been in the gardening industry for more than 30 years. His experience stems back to the Kibutz in Jerusalem where he studied for 2 years in Horticulture.

From Israel Shab moved to England in 1989 with his family and started working with the National Trust as the head gardener. He has since worked for Capital Garden Landscapes for the past 19 years as the Maintenance Manager.

Shab's exceptional knowledge and experience comes from a true passion for all things associated with gardening and maintaining individual properties.

Michaela Vardanis

Garden and Landscape Architect

Michaela is an award-winning leader in the world of residential and commercial garden design, consulting, lighting and planning with over 30 years experience in Landscaping and Horticulture. She established the one year Diploma course for landscapers recognised by the IARC of Australia and is also a well known garden writer and teacher, presenting many lectures, courses and talks on gardening and landscape design.

Michaela thrives on the challenges of garden design in adverse conditions and is able to draw on her years of experience to create the eco friendly garden of your dreams. Her forte is to balance the architecture with the planting in shapes, colours, textures and scents. Taking the indoors out, Michaela's design techniques always include the imaginative application of ambient lighting to create an enchanting mood.

Elisa Colpo

Garden and Landscape Designer

Elisa has studied in Italy, where she was awarded a Degree in Natural Science cum laude, to which followed a MA in Designing and Planning Parks and Gardens.

Where her university career was more geared towards plants in their natural habitat, her studies post-degree and her work experiences here in England have given her an excellent horticultural understanding.

Elisa has been working in the Landscape industry for 7 years and enjoys the experience unconditionally. She feels so lucky to have studied in what is considered historically the centre of art and culture before moving to the Homeland of gardens!
